How to locate your Authentication ID
When registering your Duende or purchasing optional Plug-ins for it, you will need to provide an Authentication ID. This Authentication ID is unique to your Duende hardware unit, it is not simply the Serial Number found on the packaging or on your Duende hardware unit… you can only retrieve it after you have installed your Duende. Here is how to retrieve it…

For V2.x Duende software.
Please download and install the latest V2 Duende software (2.2x or later).
This software release includes a demo version of the optional Plug-ins which will run for a limited time period.
Please run the Plug-in demo and then open the Product Activation window by holding down the Ctrl (PC) or Apple (Mac) key and clicking on the Duende logo in the Plug-in window.
This should open a window which sows your Authentication ID. Please ensure you include the entire Authentication ID and use exactly the same format. It should be like this 1254-6E

For V3.x Duende software.
Please download and install the latest V3 Duende software (3.1x or later).
In addition to installing a demo version of any new plug-ins, this will install a software Preferences/Control Panel for your Duende which shows your Duende(s) Authentication ID (labelled Serial Number).
To access the Panel on a PC; ‘Start Menu>Programs>Solid State Logic>Duende’.
To access the Panel on a Mac; ‘Apple Menu>System Preferences>SSL Duende’.
Please ensure you include the entire Authentication ID and use exactly the same format. It should be like this 1254-6E

Unlocking your plug-ins
When you have successfully completed the online plug-in purchase process you will receive an ‘Unlock Key’ via email. To activate your Plug-in;

For V2.x Duende software.
Enter the Unlock Key in the field marked ‘Unlock Key’ within the Product Activation window for the specific plug-in you have purchased.

For V3.x Duende software.
Hit the ‘Upgrade’ button in the Control Panel.
Select the correct plug-in> hit the ‘Unlock’ button and enter the Unlock Key.
